Fused Chromium Oxide
Fused Chromium Oxide also known as fused chromic oxide, it is an α-phase crystal formed by the high-temperature melting of chromium(III) oxide in an electric arc furnace followed by cooling. The fusion process results in a denser crystal structure, higher crystallinity, greater hardness, and lower impurity content (such as carbon and alkali metals), offering superior erosion resistance and thermal shock resistance compared to ordinary chromium(III) oxide. Applications: Due to its high purity and hardness, it is primarily used in high-end refractory materials, precision polishing, and specialized grinding applications.
